Do you need UBfree?

Does it alter the taste of my wine?
During the testing of the product our Oenologist (wine specialist) made some tasting comments “It’s like you have taken an old flabby wine and made it young again… the taste is brighter, fresher… the tannins have become smoother… the fruit notes have become more dominant.”
Everyone has their own taste preferences. We believe that in the case of low cost wine and sulfite-heavy wines, UBfree actually improves the taste by bringing out the more fruity and woody aspects of a young vintage.

What's in it?
UBfree is made in New Zealand from all natural ingredients:
- Liquid Oxygen (oxidises the wine);
- Molybdenum (a mineral which is naturally produced in the body and assists in breaking down the alcohol and sulfites); and
- Pure New Zealand spring water
Why Red & White versions?
UBfree is the only winedrops that come in separate versions for Red and White Wines. This is because there are differences in preservative levels between red and white wines. Some red wines have 70% less preservative than some white wines.
So with UBfree you can know you are using only the amount you need.
Can I use it in Rose and Champagne?
Absolutely! Use UBfrees White formula in Champagnes or sparkling wines, and use the Red formula for Rose.
Is Organic wine sulfite free?
No - All wines have natural sulfites.
Organic in the USA means there are No added sulfites. But in Europe they can contain up 150 mg/l of sulphites for dry white wines, and 100 mg/l for reds.
To be classified as sulfite free - wines have to contain no more than 10 mg/l total sulphites, and 5 mg/l free sulphites. Over this and winemakers must include “contains sulphites” on the label.
What are sulfites?
Sulfites or sulphites are chemical compounds that occur in nature; they are present in many foods. They are also additives used in wine (and other foods) for their ability to protect it from oxidation. Sulphur dioxide, or SO2, is the most common sulphite, especially in winemaking, but there are others.
Sulphites protect wine from oxidation and stabilise its colour to prevent spoilage.
